OPERATIONAL PLAN FOR RE-OPENING WELCOME DOOR BAPTIST CHURCH FOR INDOOR PUBLIC WORSHIP SERVICES.
Developed and Implemented 05/18/2020.

PLANNED RE-OPENING DATE AND TIMES:
Sunday, May 24, 2020 11:00am, 6:00pm

Under the authority of His Honor, James C. Dever III, United States District Judge, in his ruling of No.4:20-CV-81-D, In the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina Eastern Division on the 16th Day of May 2020, stated, “In sum, the court GRANTS plaintiffs’ emergency motion for a temporary restraining order [D.E.2]. Defendant, any of his agents, employees, and state and local law enforcement officers are ENJOINED from taking any enforcement action against plaintiffs or any other worshipers pursuant to the assembly for religious worship provisions in E.O.138.  As set forth in section 6(D) of EO138, any person or group of people gathering to worship “should observe the Recommendations to Promote Social Distancing and Reduce Transmissions to the extent practicable.” [D.E. 1-6]

We, the leadership of Welcome Door Baptist Church therefore develop and implement this Operational Plan for Re-Opening Welcome Door Baptist Church for Indoor Public Worship Services.

1) PRIOR TO OPENING THE CHURCH BUILDING(S) FOR PUBLIC SERICES.

a. Carpets and pews in all buildings are professionally cleaned and sanitized with EPA approved products.
b. All frequently touched surfaces including, but not limited to: pew tops, tables, pulpits, rails, door knobs, door handles, push plates, light switches, countertops, toilets, faucets, sinks, and all surfaces in the nursery (including toys) are cleaned with EPA approved products. (Until further notice, Nursery services will not be provided.) All procedures in 1b will also be performed between services, for areas that are occupied only.

 2) DURING ALL GATHERINGS AT DESIGNATED SERVICE TIMES.

a. Soap, water, hand sanitizer, and masks will be made available to all attendees for their use as they desire.
b. Social distancing will be practiced to the extent practicable.
c. Same household families are allowed to sit together. All minor children are requested to sit with those of their household.
d. No physical contact will be requested from all attendees. Special signage (attached), will be used as a reminder.
e. Gov/Coronavirus approved signage (attached) will be posted in the Church lobby, (which is the only point of entry), entitled “Stop the Spread of Germs” and “What You Should Know About COVID-19 to Protect Yourself and Others.”
f. Offerings will not be collected by the passing of collection plates. Instead, a centrally located, secure, drop off point will be provided that insures social distancing.
g. Water Fountains will be placed out of order for safety. Instead, cold, bottled water will be available for all who need or desire water during the service times.’
h. Changing tables for infants will be provided on the upper level of the main church auditorium in a manner that provides privacy.
